Terms of Use
These terms apply to your use of the Tri Tides website at tritides.com.au and the TALK communication resources provided by Tri Tides (ABN 70 303 385 731) (“Tri Tides”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By using our website or our resources, you agree to these terms.
TALK is a communication aid
TALK by Tri Tides is a communication aid. It is designed to support communication between patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
TALK does not replace qualified or credentialed interpreters, does not replace the clinical judgement of healthcare professionals, and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. For any clinically significant or safety-critical communication, a qualified interpreter and appropriate clinical assessment should always be used.
Using our website and resources
You agree to use our website and resources lawfully and respectfully, and not to misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to them. TALK communication resources are provided to organisations on request, for use in care and community settings.
Translations and accuracy
Our Pacific-language resources are prepared with care and reviewed by native speakers in the community. Language is contextual, and while we take great care with accuracy, you remain responsible for judging when a qualified interpreter is needed for a particular situation.
Intellectual property
The Tri Tides and TALK names, logos, designs, and resources are owned by us and provided for use within your organisation. They may not be resold, redistributed, or altered without our permission.
Third-party links
Our website may link to third-party services we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of our website or resources. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows the current version, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
